Well let's face it, no way was he on the level when he wrote Wired for Sound. And that Lord's Prayer business was an acid trip gone wrong.
Heres a little story about Cliff Richard.
I was working as a stage hand at Newcastle Metro Arena and met an Australian roadie working for The Manic Street Preachers. He told me rhat while working on an Australian tour of Cliffs, they where driving in a convoy one night, when one of the trucks hit a large male kangaroo. Apparently these things are around 6-7 ft tall. They picked it up and proped it up against the front of the lorry, and put a CLIFF RICHARD WORLD TOUR tshirt on the kangaroo for a group photo, ( obviously believing the poor thing was dead!!), After a few shots however, the poor animal, which must have only been stunned, regained consciousness and buggered off into the bush!!! Still donning the t shirt!! Imagine his embarrassment telling his mates!
