Default Lowicz syrup priming

So I've got a dj of tc on and want to prime with raspberry syrup for a bit extra flavour but was planning on bottle priming as only 4.5 litres of cider, does anyone have a rough amount per 500ml bottle I will need , or link to a calculator or method of3 working out

Thought in had it but my bottle is only 400ml with 86g sugar per 100ml so by my calculations a 7.5ml spoonful will be 6.5g of sugar , can someone check my maths before i redecorate my house with raspberry cider

Also whilst in here it's come out at 7.8% does anyone know how much water to dilute with to make it about 5%, or is it a case of adding and checking gravity till its right

Hi!
I would do it like this: if you have 4.5 litres at 7.8%, there's 0.351 litres of alcohol, so to get to 5% ABV, 0.351 x 20 = 7.02 litres. That means adding 1.52 litres of water.
If you batch prime 7.02 litres the calculator on Brewer's Friend suggests 37.6 grams of sugar to get 2.2 volumes of CO2 at 20C. I don't know how much carbonation you like in your cider.
86g in 400ml equates to 1g in 4.651ml or 37.6g in 174.88ml.
If you add 175ml syrup to the demijohn before bottling you should get a well-carbonated cider.

Wow that was like an episode of countdown, thanks though,

So in theory if I add roughly 110ml of water to 14 500ml bottles then top up to 500ml with cider, 175ml of syrup split 14 ways equates to 12.5 ml for each bottle so may reduce that as that seems quite a lot and was gonna use crown caps.

Just re read and 37.6g in 175ml means 12ml syrup and only 2.5g of sugar,
I'm confused

Hi!
Misread your original post - 86g per 100ml not in the full bottle.
My post should read:
86g in 100ml equates to 1g in 1.163ml or 37.6g in 43.7ml.
If you add 45ml syrup to the demijohn before bottling you should get a well-carbonated cider.
That's going to be tough to divide among 14 bottles.

Hi!
Yes, 1.52 litres will dilute down to 5%.

Also found an online calculator that said if I add 2.2 litres to my 4.5 litres of 8.2 it will be 5.5, anyone confirm that?
