Decided to do a double brew yesterday and spotted this recipe on Beersmith so decided to give it a bash. Seemed interesting with Melanoiden malt and Roasted barley. Never used them in the same recipe together so thought it would be cool. Plus I had fresh San Diego yeast left from last weeks batch to use up.

Only tweak was US roasted barley has a colour rating of 500 and in the UK it's 1300. When I realised the difference it was too late and I'd already put it in therefore it'll be closer to a brown hopped ale rather than an IPA.......no big deal though!

Also stopped taking pics during boil as it got dark.

Thanks for the comments. Brew went off like a rocket as I pitched yeast straight from another brew. Should be done soon and in the keg.

First time I've used dextrose in an IPA (apart from bottling) so will see how dry this becomes.
