Sorry couldn't post this earlier, I was out on my bike but was listening to the food programme on BBC R4 where they were discussing growing hops in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Its just finished but here's the link for those interested.

I just caught the last 10mins, but will listen to the whole programme on the i player.

I've often wondered whether anyone has gone down to a hop farm and asked to buy some hops, surely selling a small bag wouldn't make any difference to their harvest.
