After much trepidation I took the leap of faith into the all grain brewing world. First effort is Robs Export Porter from MM in my Brewzilla gen4. Despite some school boy errors mainly leaving the lid on the boil!! What a mess when it boils over. At the end of the sparge I had lost a couple's of litres of liqueur so topped up with water. This resulted in a reduced SG and consequently FG of 4.0 rather than 6.5 as per the recipe. I shouldn't have bothered topping up but hey ho , every day's a school day and that's half the fun of brewing, so they say. Anyways poured the first pint tonight from the corny and I'm chuffed to bits with the outcome. Second brew is in the fermentation fridge, an ESB this time again from MM.
