Going to make a hop tea for my late hop additions. Thought I would use the beer from the fermenting vessel to steep the hops in when making the tea instead of water.
As I am only heating the liquid up to under 70c (155 F) and alcohol evaporates at 78 C(172f) I wont be loosing any alcohol and wont be diluting the beer with additional water.

Anything wrong with this idea?

Did you go ahead with it? How did it work out?

Sounds like it would be fine to me. Why are you going hop tea rather than a boil or a dry hop?

Yes it worked out great, no issues with the beer when I came to bottle it.

Mostly I liked the idea of not adding additional sediment to the beer and also apparently using hop tea rather than dry hopping you get more of an intense aroma from the hops.
