Prompted by trying the above beer at homebrew club a while ago, we've decided to copy the tradition of brewing a commemorative beer, and we're having a Jubilee (pro-monarchy or not) themed mini comp for our June meeting.

Is any one brewing anything special?

I'm about to mash in a Barleywine using Sovereign hops. 1.070 OG, 70 ibus, 70 minute mash and boil.

@foxy I'd say so, as much as I could tell from descriptions of Burton Ales and that had been in the bottle for over 40 years. Would be interesting to find the recipe.

There are a few recipes for Burton Ale I would suspect that is what it is. I made it a few years ago, coming into our winter I should really make it again.
