Whilst cooking a Thai curry I thought I would dive into the kegerator and choose a bottle to sample 🍺

Mr @Hazelwood Brewery kindlt sent me this Tripel a while ago and I’ve been dying to try it.

Gentle hiss on opening (keg conditioned), lightly carbed and beautifully clear.

Aroma- sweet malt, bread, honey, caramel

Flavour- this is light, delicate, balanced. More malt than fruit or Belgian funk. It’s really really nice.

Overall- this is a cracker! The best beer Mr H has shared with me. Quite frankly it’s dangerously drinkable and really well made. Spot on 👌

Quick snifter of damson gin out of the kilner whilst I contemplate how best

to smoke the pork shoulder I've ordered from Smithfield Market once the tropical weather arrives on Saturday.

Hopefully redeemed myself after the dodgy Sea Fury 😂

Amongst others I've found a bottle marked K2 in my shed... research finds it a kveik #2 with Amarillo brewed last July!! It's crystal clear, juicy but not much hop aroma...it's perfectly drinkable though..

Looks cracking horners, have a decent stock of damson and sloe gin.year after year it tastes better.
Not a lover of gin tbh, but add sloes damson and rhubarb, and it really is damn fine.
