I’ve been working on recipes to try and get the most out of ekuanot hops. I’ve done a few beers and it’s never quite worked or the flavour/aroma profile hasn’t been what I wanted. So this is another revision (no4) to see if I’ve got it to work. Or at least how I want it to.

This is not what I want to hear, having a ekuanot and el dorado IPA bubbling away at the moment! :laugh8:
 
Managed to get a bottle of the new Duvel 6,66
Tasty & crisp like the original but a better ABV for me for everyday drinking.

As I’ve been hard at it all day filling a skip with rubble and all while managing a brew day it’s time for a beer. Best I get on the DIPA train with @dave_77 and have some of my own DIPA. a close second to Dan’s by 2 pts.

Fine looking beer.
Putting me to shame by filling a skip and managing to brew as well. That was my plan but a bad back seen to that

This is just really good it has a lovely nut like flavour too it, but over wise very smooth little in the way of bitterness (to be expected given the low hopping) it’s in my mind at least the ideal session beer tasty easy to drink and you can have a few pints without regretting it the next morning.
 
I think I'll crack open a Young's American IPA tonight that has been conditioning for about 3 weeks. It will still be a bit green, but I haven't have one of them for ages and temptation is getting the better of me.

I like Equanot and had some really nice beers that used Equanot, the best was probably and Equanot/Vic Secret combo. I’ve made a few too but like you haven’t quite found that perfect recipe. When you do, I’d be interested to hear about it. 😉
 
Fancied something a bit different tonight and haven’t had any of my Weizen for a while. I’m really pleased the banana flavour is more prominent now and the “wheatiness” has intensified too, I was worried I’d fermented too cool and missed the mark. It may be a tad over carbonated - if a Weizen can be over carbed.

Moville is a lovely spot. Right on the coast. Some lovely beaches 👍👍
I've not been in 10 years but it is lovely I may go later this year and check my tenants haven't trashed my house 🤣🤣🤣
