I've seen and/or got albums by a lot of them

Sounds great. The hubby would hate it though. Anything remotely indie or remotely 80’s (unless it’s rock) and he sulks all day 😂
I took the young boy to green Day for his birthday. He was only 13 or 14, I was actually really surprised how good they were. Their lead singer is very talented, he did a mini acoustic set on his own at the end.

So coming to this thread a wee bit late, hey it's been a busy week. Real eclectic tastes here from 60s all the way to chart contemporary. Big fan of Florence and the machine, London Grammar 🥰 , Eurythmics, and oh I'm sorry but Madonna - memories of dancing around the bedroom to the True Blue album getting ready for dates, oh and singing along to La Isla Bonita theme of my teenage years! Memories also of my dad (who was quite evangelical at the time) agreeing to buy me the Verve's 'Urban Hyms' well because obviously 😝. These days. happy to listen to anything that makes me feel like dancing, or quite the opposite thoughtful and reflective. 😎

I come from a big family so money was tight. My friends in school could afford vinyl records, I had to get them to tape them for me 😁

for metal heads...

Industrial and Goth probably my fav. But like all sorts of other genres apart from country & western - Shania twain is as far as I go down that route.

Last year I was going to Eurovision finals and see Rammstein - you can guess the rest. Last gig with mrs we enjoyed was gregorian. last gig with son electric six or Gary numan. I loved his pleasure principle album tour, Theres not much that can beat playing a whole groundbreaking album in the correct order. I missed the Replicas one.

Wow, this looks like one of the fastest growing threads I’ve seen on here that hasn’t involved people fighting with each other.

My tastes are very broad - I’m very much of the opinion that good music is good music regardless of genre but I do tend to gravitate towards guitar led stuff and I’ve never really been into much in the way of dance music or electronica (although I like Moby, the Chemical Brothers, DJ Shadow and a couple of others of that ilk).

90s American skate-punk was my first love, then recently I’ve really got into alt-country/Americana and folk-punk. I also listen to a lot of indie rock, indie pop, singer-songwriter pop stuff, hard/classic rock, hip hop, ska (mainly 3rd wave and some 2-tone), and a little metal (but I prefer stuff with “clean” vocals).

My all time favourite artist is Ben Folds, and my other big favourites are King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, The Living End, AJJ, Frank Turner, Real McKenzies, Barenaked Ladies, Supersuckers, AC/DC, Kiss, The Roots, Michael Franti, Run DMC, Justin Townes Earle, Rancid, Bad Religion, Descendents, Jason Isbell, Sarah Shook, Ben Lee, The Ramones The Foo Fighters and Johnny Cash.
