It’s taken a few months to pull together but I’ve managed to knock something up that the Mrs will allow in the house!!!! 3 taps, running C02 and 30/70 depending on what I fancy.... onto the beer engine housing now 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

@Jordang Looks nice. I'm working on my beer engine mounting. But have the luxury of the engine casks being the other side of a wall under the house so only in summer will it get above 14C there. Just need a neat bar for the engine alone. Got to be sturdy though with all that pulling!
 
Looks amazing! Looking forward to seeing the engine in place - how are you setting up to put co2 into the cask as you pull your pints? Demand line? What pressure? I'm been planning to get my engine going again. For now I'm lazy and just 'keg' in 2 litre and 5 litre water bottles and then pull straight from them with no co2 - I just plan drinking the beer in one go!

Thanks! I’m more excited for the beer engine I think 🤣🤣 it’s going in the garage though so doesn’t need to be so aesthetically pleasing!!! I’m following the advice in this thread

I think the beer engine is difficult on a domestic scale, I've only just got mine after a very long search in NZ. They are super rare here but I got a steal
https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/beer-engine-strip-down-advice.691756/#post-9097474I do have a demand valve so I can draw from a pressurised keg ( I only have it at a low CO2 Vol) but like you if I'm going to just drink it I decant from the main keg into a small 5 litre keg and have that open to the atmosphere and just pull them and drink them in 48 hours. Or I do have some 5 litre " wine bags " that collapse as you serve from them, but they are quite gas permeable so don't really increase beer life.

The real challenge is the " true cask conditioning " and I have found some 2 gallon water tanks ( a bit like petrol cans) that have a low tap and high fill entry and I'm thinking of hacking one of these into a micro cask with a bung, shive and lower beer exit.
Quite a difficult game in comparison to a cold, hoppy, gassy NEIPA!
