No hops mentioned on the tin...its quite bitter and has good mouthfeel..yeah,I like that!

Finally made a brew that I'm totally happy with, just a simple wheat beer with M20 yeast but it's good. Didnt take a pic it was just a 250ml tester

A guest ale next. This is a 7.4% Doppelbock from @Subtle Duck.
The pour was well behaved, carbonation is good, the off white head settled to a thin covering over the surface and then stuck around, colour is dark brown with a slight “
ruby, ruby, ruby” hue. At the end I could see the beer was slmost clear but also that I had picked up a little yeast.
Aroma is plums, dark bread crust and just a touch of sweet raisin.
The flavour is really nice. There’s toffee that’s perfectly on the point of becoming burnt, the plumminess is quite subtle but there’s definitely that raisin fruit with just a little sweetness and an impression of liquorice. My lips are a little tacky confirming the relatively high finishing gravity - the label on the bottle says 1014 but it does feel higher. Body is medium to full and as you might expect the finish is long lasting…unlike the beer
