2nd batch in a couple of weeks now with a terrible flavour
Had one a few weeks ago but the beer looked milky so put it down to infection but this one looks perfect but just tastes awful is there any ideas out there that any one tried and made it drinkable
I'm thinking hop oils or fruit juice or maybe even fruit
It's in the keg now and I don't want throw away another brew

I chucked two kegs out. I put this down to the heat wave in Ireland. Both brews were brewed at room temperature. Brew fridge was already in use. Did you have temp control

If by any chance it is yeast being too warm start to use Kveik in the hot months.
I know you say it tastes awful but a description of what it may be similar to will help us diagnose it athumb..

First one I dumped was with kveik
The taste is hard to explain but it is 3rd or 4th time in 3 year of brewing so must be the medicine, tcp flavour people speak of
It's very harsh undrinkable and I wouldn't be a fussy person

The Kveik surprised me which in my mind says its not the yeast.
I suppose you have gone through most of the suggestion if you have had it before but it does point to the rinsing of cleaner (that is if you are using something like bleach or VWP)not being sufficient.
Maybe your water if you are using tap water has changed have you tried bottled water only and using a new FV maybe

Always same routine same cleaning looking back on notes I recreated the first brew I threw out this year and just changed the yeast from kveik to us 05 so that will be ready in two weeks hopefully drinkable
I still have hope for one keg I want to add something to overpower bad flavour just what I don't know yet

That's too bad about having to toss batches. Hate to see it happen.
Are you able to be more specific about "awful"? Otherwise it can be a guessing game.
Hope the next one turns out well.

As I said above very harsh I'm not good at describing flavours sounds like tcp or medicinal flavours people talk of

Still no answer to my question anyone ever try and save one of these brews by adding anything
