I'm trying to get some calcium chloride for this evening and every brew shop I've called that's in a reasonable distance to me don't have it in 🤦‍♂️

Any ideas where else I could get it or if it goes by a different name? 😩 It's driving me mad!!

Most of the online brew shops have it.

You can even get 2kg for a tenner on Amazon

Thank you for the response but I'm hoping to get some for today. I didn't realise it would be so difficult to get hold of so didn't buy online as I wanted to support my two brew shops not realising they don't have any 🤦‍♂️

The local fish/aquarium store might stock it or the local Drysalters.

I'll try the aquarium nearby. Fingers crossed and thank you.

Could you brew something else?
Not really. My tap water has really high chloride (among other things) so was going to use spring water which needs a little adding to it. Plus I've got ingredients to do a pilsner like I did before because I want to try and dial that in and the process before moving on to other styles if I can.

You could blend some tap water with the spring water.

Where are you? Is there a local homebrew group on Facebook? May be a local, fellow homebrewer will have some.

I'm in Leeds. But also not on FB. I've ordered a load online now. I'll just brew another day 🙂 I was mostly hoping to do it tonight as my girlfriend really wants to see and learn about it but we don't always have the time together at the moment to get into it.

Thanks for the responses though 🤘
