I bunked off early today on rest hours...I've had a quiet hour prepping some fishing stuff then decided it was wishy-washy time and promptly managed to pull the casing off the shower...so that's out of use..and had to have a wallow which I really don't like as its a waste of time and me and my hip don't get on with bath tubs!
On a plus note the placing of the MJK at a precarious tilt in the brew shed resulted in another pint..chin chin!

My Muntons Courage Best which is turning into a halfway decent pint. Shame it has been discontinued but it has revamped my bitter mojo. I'm only having a couple as I'm on earlies again in the morning which starts at 7 - or rather is supposed to start at 7 but the night Skipper was lying in wait this morning with a set of keys when I rocked up at 0630, an evil grin with those cheery words 'how soon can you be ready?'...asad1 and off I go to griefy job number 1...(sorry pic is sideways)

Renamed as "Hoppy Pale Ale of Kent" as that is what it is.
Absolutely cracking now (brew date 18th Aug.)
Took some to my car club night last week for the landlord to try.
His tastes and mine are at variance.
He said, "too dry" -
I love the bitterness of Challenger. (Flavour and aroma courtesy of Ernest).
He said, "too thin" -
5.2% OG 1046 pure Bairds Maris Otter Pale with a little Pale crystal and mixed crushed grain,........ thin?!
Not taking him any more of my brews.
