You may need something high alpha and tasty (eg cascade/simcoe) but I’ll be better informed when my latest batch is summer breeze finishes fermenting.
My hoppy beer always seem to lack the big aroma punch. I have my immersion chiller at the ready for my Neipa to see if it makes a difference. Normally I no chill

I am saved, I looked up their delivery information and it's Hermes, instant turn off - phew!

I opened another bottle of the Golden Rocket, last one for this evening.

I agree, today has been brilliant in this thread, amazing beers, loads of laughs, bless you all... goodnight, merry well fellow brewers 🥰

My current experiment is mash hopping, big hopstand, NO dry hop (it absorbs Thiols). The next experiment might be only mash hopping. I love this hobby!!
The stout I was to brew tonight was to have a load of leaf hops (summit I think) in it as I have followed your posts and theory about it lately. It’s to be a complex hoppy stout and the mash hops could add that extra dimension.

Let us know how you get on, it will be good to get people that try it to feed back.

Change of direction with a nice citrusy pale ale with vic secret. Been drinking this a few pints every weekend last few weeks and it’s hit it’s stride. Lovely refreshing citrus burst.

I will do. Interesting theory in mash hoping.
I have brewed this stout before and it was very nice (after it mellowed over 2 months) be interesting to see how the extra hops in the mash work out. Won’t be trying it to Christmas Eve.😜

My finisher is a small Exmoor Gold.
Oops, sorry!,
our fish and chips dinner got in the way,
I forgot to post how well it goes with a bottle of "The Ned" Kiwi Sav. blanc.

Back to the Exmoor;
Good lord, this beer is getting better by the week.
Good thing there are two unstarted polypins in the garage, a 5L and a 10L.
What a lovely prospect.

Mangrove jacks Nelson sauvin ipa.
Not convinced, however I'm just on my 9th day of having covid and I lost my taste and smell
OMG! 😱
Hoping that they come back OK.
Glad to hear you're able to be back having a beer already.
A bit surprised and relieved that you can taste and smell at all.
Good omens there.
Reserve judgement until full return of your senses on the Nelson Sauv.
I have some, but have not brewed with them yet, so I would like to know what you think of them, but later please.
