I just bought 5 gallons of Cabernet Sauvignon to brew (7 day brew) from our sponsor Brew2bottle. I think I will be just fine =)

Yeah, the dodgy American carols "Happy Holiday" in the shops. Repeats of Morecombe and Wise on Telly. No sprouts this year from Brussels, no turkeys from Byzantium, Richard Branson's no longer making his pickle! Happy Yule everyone. I'm religious and I shall be in an appropriate state of inebriation to keep the cold out of my old bones while I lollop around the Yulefire wearing nothing but snowshoes my rhinestone-bespangled codpiece and a pint mug (with a handle). Rejoice, Irishman. Happy times are almost upon us.

Depression. Don't talk to me about depression. I've met Marvin.

No shortage at mine!!!
10 liters of silver award winning sherry
20 liters of wine expert rose
20 liters of wine expert chardonay
20 liters of wine expert neobolio
50 liters of kolsch
50 liters of stout
20 liters special stout
20 liters of festive stout

I break up on friday the 17th december. However my 40th is dec the 16th so i may stop early.

Im actually excited to have a go at some fancy not usual 20l brews over christmas. Put a bit of fun back in it. I always seem to brew round in circles depending on requirement

That's a proper Christmas stash.

I always check these news articles for the words 'could', 'might', 'possibly' and 'perhaps'.
If any of these are present I ignore the article.
and 'Should' a favourite in the Highway code and means you don't have to do it, unlike 'MUST' where it is compulsory

It would be something of a disappointment if the mandatory gin/rum/tonic/madeira/port supplies from M and S couldn't be replenished this Christmas, along with a few bottles of Sancerre.

Obviously I have a meagre few gallons (9.5) and pints (35) of other stuff available but there really is no comparison between the stuff I make and a bottle of Sancerre.

FAKE NEWS, just like the petrol shortage, don't fall for it and shop normally !!

And your experience in the wine trade is what, exactly?

Because I know several people who import wine and they're all telling a similar story of logistics problems going back to January this year. The big supermarkets will probably be OK as they have their own supply chains, but the companies handling logistics for the independents who supply restaurants and specialist retailers are in real trouble.

I just find Christmas and all the fake Bon Homie to be so shallow. Im not religious but find excess alcohol consumption on our biggest Holy day somewhat shallow. Isn't depression great - cheer me up!!
Christmas is a holy day ?? When did that happen ? It’s to pay homage to the Nobel turkey I always thought 🤷‍♂️

If you were religious, you would know that Christmas is not the biggest day in the Christian calendar, it's Easter. But then you could say the same about Easter and chocolate. It's a relatively recent invention to bring religion into the traditional celebration of the winter solstice.

If you were in my snug you would be chucked in the village pond. "Well its like this guys you know, its all gone weird" Thanks Neil. - Can you please post some more depressing content of speeding in Cumbria or cars wrapped around trees or cars with only 3 wheels - its all soo relevant - Strangely my mate in Kendal never emails me with this sort of content.
I may speak to the owners of this forum in order to have your negative impact on mental health and general negative demeanour removed. Im sure you will dream up some more excuses for you behaviour which is frankly rather shallow. But the good news, is your a moderator and always right.

I am part of the owner group. Would you like for me to remove you from this depressing section of the forum? I can make it disappear for you so you won't be so depressed. No one is made to post here and I don't want you to have a bad day.

The Snug is the most interesting part. After answering "should I use a secondary?" seventy times, I'm okay with something different. Let the newer members answer those.
We have many problems with supply chains right now, like people waiting ten months for an item or part that would normally take two weeks.
Booze is not on that list as far as I know. Tons and tons of the stuff found where it is usually sold.
