It's not particularly hoppy...piney. very drinkable though..clean
Two Brewdog advent calendar beers as I missed yesterday, giving the liver a rest.
First up, dead pony club. For this style of beer which I generally find a bit samey and "meh" I am quite impressed. I could sink a few of these.

I am on the look out for some new styles of beer to brew. January is looking like a Bock/double bock. I think I can squeeze a quad in before Christmas.
I am open to suggestions
The missing beer in that list is a Tripel.

I have a tripel brewed, that could be my next beer.
Trying this first, it's a brett cranberry Saison. Carbonation and head retention is poor but it has a nice taste. Maybe a bit to acidic

Is the acid from the yeast, fruit, or other?

I think the yeast because I split it 3 ways. One with cranberry, one with orange peel and Amarillo the other untouched. The yeast is wlp670
The best result is the orange peel, this could make an appearance in Dave's freestyle month.
We have a Cadieux Cafe in Detroit. It might be one of the few places around here that have similarities to an actual pub. Food's blah, beers are good. They sell a few of the popular Belgian imports and they have feather bowling (I've watched them play but wouldn't know how, myself). It's an easy way to get some Belgian beer without hunting.
It's a bit Alcohopop for me. Not unpleasant, but wouldn't want more than one. Maybe a bit acidic, or am I imagining that because of the flavours?

QC on the American amber...its only been bottled 4 days but I need to check progress and think about shifting the crates.

I haven't had my planet pale yet - I'm deffo in last position. The Calendar arrived the day before I went in for my op, I can't drink my usual amount at the mo' - but these beers are lower in abv than the usual stuff I drink, so Mrs DOJ is happy and I can still work my way through them.
Is that your version of swapping out the kegs on tap!
thats what a pal of mine has done.... from beer wulf. He's also ordered from a discounted advent calendar from beer52 as well!

No Morrison shops in Ireland, I can get it at the local bottle shop.and you can get their triple from morrisons as well
