The key is the pay straight away on the 17th. Places go quick and just because you registered doesn't get you a spot
That’s right. You have to register one or two entries asap from the 17th and pay immediately to best secure your entries. You can still change the categories you want to enter if you wish thereafter.

I want to enter in a sour beer as I've had quite a lot of success with those recently, however knowing my luck the first batch to go bad will be the one I enter into the competition :laugh8:.
Ordered myself one of the Nukatap counter pressure bottle fillers
Is that the one you can stick in a tap and is quite small? If so do you have a link?
Is there any bjcp judges on the forum.
I went to a few BJCP training events and competitions as a steward and judge. I found it wasn't very fun. For me it felt a bit too clinical, but I would really like to go through the BJCP styles with my friends who are into beer for fun as opposed to gaining a qualification.

I should clarify I have nothing against BJCP, just wasn't for me!

Thanks for sharing! I think Malt Miller has something similar for about £70 which I'm considering. I might look into this as it's a lot cheaper!
Yeah, I’ve taken a bit of a risk because I’ve not seen much in the way of reviews etc, but it looks very similar to the Tapcooler filler on MM for less than half the price.

The video of Kee demonstrating it certainly makes it look good, and plenty of options on how to connect.

Well you convinced me, shame there's no commission in it for you

Has it arrived and have you had a chance to use it yet?

I have put an order in for some grain and hops. I am planning a Belgian tripel and a Belgian Saison. I will get the tripel on this week sometime so that it has time to condition. The Saison I might leave until end of February, I would like the hops to shine with the yeast.
I have a porter and a Belgian dubbel as back up incase anything goes wrong with the first two.
Let me know if anyone would like to swap to compare closer to the time 👍

If you do submit a Saison and Tripel we could double-up on the learning by swapping beers and feedback sheets. I could then sample your beers while reading your feedback sheets and you could do the same with mine. Interested?

I guess there’s nothing to stop us doing this even if we don’t submit the same beers.:confused.:

Good Morning boys and girls!

Just a quick reminder that registration of entries for this competition opens today at 12:00.

You will have to send 3x500ml bottles or 4x330ml bottles for each entry and you can have up to 2 entries.

Ideally, you should them pay immediately after registering because that will then secure you place(s).

I’ll take a 12:00 lunch today and get registered.

Think I’ve decided on a Helles and a witbier - both are quite difficult styles to master, and styles I enjoy brewing.

My kegerator is pretty full and I have some commercial beer left from Christmas so can probably get the Helles on soon and give it quite a long lagering time.
