It took a while but i finally found a 1966 Anglia with the separate side light and indicator the white one i posted earlier had a single light.

I need to get out more :laugh8:

I posted both Anglia pictures as i thought all Anglias were the same shape as the blue one below but it turns out the early ones did indeed look like the rusty one (see white Anglia below)

Hiya Chippy, yeah i didn't know there were 2 different grills for the Anglia so never to old to learn. 😁Sorry i was talking about the white car in your original photo. If you look between the open door of the old rusty Anglia and the Herald you can just make out another car in the greenary..

Always wanted a Capri but never got one. 😔😔 still think they look cool lol.

They were “cool” but they couldn’t hold the road in snow!

I did a full 360* on a backroad on my way to work in about 1976 …

… but after a break from Ford, I went back for more in 1986 and got another Capri; by which time I had calmed down a bit!
:hat:

Well spotted! If you check the reflection in the wing mirrors of that particular car, you can see the raked back window of another Anglia!

Honestly! Plain as day!

I always wanted an Enfield Bullet motorbike as a kid and in the 1990’s I got a job in India based in Chennai (Madras) where they still make Enfield motorbikes!

I got talking to the Logistics Manager who could easily get me an Enfield transported to the UK, just like he had done!

We met up in Morecambe and arranged to go on a trip to Kendal, he on his Enfield and me on my Pan European; and then swap bikes.

Ha! It didn’t work out! I never got out of third gear going to Kendal and watching him wrestle the Enfield round every bend, I realised why the UK motorbike industry had gone down the tube in the 1960’s and 70’s.

My reply in the cafe in Kendal to “Let’s swap.” can’t be printed here, but I can reiterate “Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be!”

It's only when you look back you realise how old we are and so many memories. You look in the mirror and remember your younger self. There are advantages to being older... retired at 62 in good health, so im not complaining. 😎😁🍷🥂
