After a 12 hour shift and a hot cycle home what could be better than a saison? This one isn't mine it's @samale it's lovely, slightly hazy, perfectly carbed (unusual for you ) , understated but floral nose, quite tart, lots of phenols and very refreshing, perfect for an evening like this, thank you very much.

Moved inside now, last one for the night, another SAISON!!!!. I'm rather immodestly impressed with how good this is, as I've never brewed one before and I think it's rather jolly.

Lemon. That Belgian yeast funk thing, but quite subtle. Dry. Slight spice and white wine aftertaste (Hallertau Blanc hops?).

I’m starting tonight with this Black IPA.

The description on the back is maybe a bit misleading. I do get the coffee and a little chocolate but I think the bright, zesty, tropical flavours must have been swallowed up by a black hole.

A brew dog almost famous.
It might be just me but this and a lot of others they do lately taste “artificial” like the hop flavour is too intense and not natural Possibly just me.

Would they not advertise that ? It’s just a taste I get from brew dog beers lately.
This one has no hops listed and is a special edition so possibly could be cryo but not sure the “artificial” description fits cryo hops

It’s the second July birthday in our house.. Jack’s 19 today. A saison each, and life lesson No.1, if put your beer glass in the dishwasher this happens.

Cryo hops are still hops so I’m not sure there’s any requirement to state they’ve used cryo. They can taste a bit artificial I understand if they are used in excess. I haven’t used them myself but I’m sure I remember a rep from YCH making this point in a video call I was on.
