…. awards that can go as high as a seat in the house of lords.
Much higher than that!

In January of this year, Tony Blair was made a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter!

Don’t laugh,
but this is the oldest and most senior British Order of Chivalry to which appointments are in the Queen’s gift without advice from the Government.

Please don’t laugh at the thought of this particular government giving anyone any advice!
:D

You need to go back to post #169 (below) if you think this is me defending the Tories think again.

"Once a tory always a Tory they are not going to change their spots unlike all those labour turncoats going over to the Tory party so Boris could do his thing they should be ashamed of themselves.

I think this tells you which party I will be voting for -

It's not conservative and it never will be"

Have a look at my post below #169 if you think I am Tory think again.

Once a tory always a Tory they are not going to change their spots unlike all those labour turncoats going over to the Tory party so Boris could do his thing they should be ashamed of themselves.

It's not conservative and it never will be!
What are we going to do in the Snug Chippy if Labour get in, sit in there twiddling our thumbs? I doubt we will see any complaints no matter how bad a job Labour will be doing, and they will, no two ways about it.

The Labour party don't have a magic wand they have 12 years of mess this government has caused to sort out that is not going to be an easy task and mistakes will be made along the way I expect we will see many negative threads posted by the Tory voters over the next few years.

Bottom line people deserve better than what has been offered by the current government. Changing the PM is not going to have much impact. I can't believe I am saying this but I believe Truss will be worse than Boris.

Whatever happens will be interesting, but probably not for any reasons you like. The British electorate deserve better but the government seem to
be similar to all Western democracy and some in the Southern Hemisphere - completely hopeless

it,s not those who voted 12 years ago, it's all the labour morons who voted for Boris in 2019 thick feckers

Forgetting those idiots for a moment I have heard many Conservative voters voicing their displeasure on 5live and many said they will not vote for them again I hope they were telling the truth.

Was that not a vote on getting Brexit done. Hard to believe 5 years on and it's still a ***** show.
I have just returned from a short break in France. I presume the utter chaos on the ferries and the Eurotunnel delays we experienced are what they call a "Brexit bonus". Last night the M20 had a 20 mile queue of trucks trying to get to Dover and a contra-flow to accommodate it. If the bastards who pushed though Brexit thought that remainers would just quietly fade away they were wrong - this one is angrier than ever.
