From start to finish, how long does it take to clean a keg? And I mean from the moment you decide to do it until the moment you are putting away the equipment.
I'm anal about that, i wash them for an hour, and rinse them for an another hour. I guess it's overkill. But mine can be left unattended, so time isn't a factor really.

let us know if you find a way- it kept falling of so i just held it!

Know what you mean about the Junior - just tried it with plain water and it was a bit wobbly, but I leant it against the cupboard and it stayed put.

Also I've found a 25L bucket better than the smaller one supplied, then you can chuck any other little bits you need to clean in the bottom of the bucket and kill two birds with one stone. You'd need about 10L in the bottom of the bucket instead of 6L though to cover the pump.

I've also found that you can clean plastic buckets with this gadget, as long as the top bucket has a smaller diameter than the bottom bucket for obvious reasons! 🌊

@Tess Tickle looks pretty handy. I have been using my power washer at the minute but can get a bit messy! what cleaner are you using with it ?

I have one of these and it's great.
As I always like to tinker with things I have upgraded it with a clean in place spray ball, and I have 3 different lengths of stainless steel BSP pipe that allows me to clean different size vessels. It is particularly useful in cleaning my Keg King Snub nose max fermenter.

I just use cheap Astonish Oxy cleaner.

I use unscented finish powerball in mine. They didn't produce too much foam, and clean well.

I use sodium percarbonate and it does clean well, but I prefer the branded PBW as you only need 1/5 of the amount and it doesn't cost 5 times as much, so it's cheaper in the long run.

Nice! I was thinking of making something similar with a bucket and a pond pump, but this seems comparable on price with what I had in mind. May have to invest in one!

Here’s mine:

Just attach longer tie-wraps if needed and away you go. A drill helps of course!
:D

I've just started to use sodium percarbonate, isn't it too dangerous to splash it around?

I was looking at this and it is a very reasonable price, the only reason I didn't buy one is that I realised the only bit missing that prevented me from building my own was the pump, so sourced one off Amazon for ÂŁ20

The pipe can drop all the way down and block the tee branch to the disconnect which is ok when cleaning the fermzilla, so I've added on olive on one pipe for keg cleaning which holds it above the tee. I could just turn the pipe around but as I've got plenty of the stuff I use a longer one for the fermzilla

I use the spare telescoping overflow pipe from my guten on a pond pump with cip ball this sits in an old ferment bucket just right size for fermentasaurus, kegs rest in here fine.
I use warm home made PBW about 40 degrees on the fermentasaurus and kegs.

I've just ordered one of these cleaning devices - thanks for bringing them to my attention. As much as the DIY option is a good idea, I need to put any spare time and energy into the brewing at the moment, so am happy to fork out the extra, even though it leavs me having to wait until next month to get the other bits of equipment on my wishlist. Honestly, cleaning kegs is my joint-top least favourite bit of brewing (the other is chilling using an immersion chiller).
Hoping ot goes out for a Saturday delivery so I can use it on Sunday.
