Going to crack open a bottle of Fullers 1845 (shop bought) in about 15 mins. Bit poky for my normal tastes at 6.3% but I'm going to harvest the yeast and culture it up. If you believe the internet it's the same strain as WLP002

This evening's supping goes as follows
1) triple c IPA
2) last of my Amarillo
3) my cascade centennial IPA

If I'm not asleep by then, a G&T might happen.
The good lady is out so I am taking the opportunity to watch a horror film. Insidious (the film, not the wife). She hates horror films.

Well tonight I had some bought bottled beer for the first time this year :!:

I tried the tesco/marstons craft beers - californian common, saison and lager. Clear winner was the saison - nice mix of fruity and dry. Must admit to hesitating before I bought it but it was nice. So it's on my brew list now.

3 tesco saison
4 osh
1 hogs back chocolate lager which i should add tasted like ****..cheap lager with added flavouring bad,,

guinness west indies porter and dublin porter.....tescos offer 4 for 6 quid so a good saving and i quite like the bottles

I do like the saison from tesco and have drunk a fair few bottles.
I brewed the youngs new world saison thinking it would be the same but was a little disappointed with it but then i drank it quite early and have some left that did improve.
I may have to brew again as it likes the warmer temp we are getting at the moment

Friday night, I've finished work, done the M25, M11, Norf circular and I'm home, time to wash the week off me with beer. First up is a Coopers Canadian Blonde with Galaxy hops, very nice. Then I'm trying my first bottle of my third Coopers Stout with German Cascade hops and Lavazza coffee. Then it's a Youngs Harvest Lager with lime and Perle hops and lastly Coopers English Bitter with East Kent Golding hop pellets. The Coopers English is about 7% so I'm saving that until last. And I am NOT, I say NOT going near the liter of TC. In the fridge.......but I'm just sooooo weak.

Edit: The Coopers Stout is about 6.8%, it's got a kick like a mule.

Manse mashup - 7.5% abv, one week out of fv so a bit raw! Interspersed with Rioja, vodka and maybe a Guinness. Already not looking forwards to the morning....

After this week I will be drinking it all.

A (very fizzy) black IPA. I've pre opened the next one in the hope that it dies down a bit when I get to it. Currently escaping from the bottle on the draining board!

Just had a bottle of an ale I made last September that used Belgian pale malt, caramalt and brewing sugar, Pilgrim and Celiea hops and Mauribrew Weiss yeast. Very nice, 10 months on! Has mellowed, the hops and the yeast were very full on at first.
