hello everyone I would love to make some vimto wine just wondering if there are any recipes ive had a look on here and cannot find any may just be me being thick thanks in advance

thanks for this I have read the recipe for turbo vimto and it says to use sb3 yeast I carnt find this on the net and don't know what alternative to get and how much to put in

Before you go too far, check with Roddy & Chippy. I thought Vimto was one of those things that didn't ferment because of preservatives.

I could be wrong, after all it's 4pm here on a hot day and I may have had one or two....

*** I've just taken a look at the thread and second2none does say to boil it for 20 minutes to remove preservatives so maybe you can use it.
I'm sure Roddy made some, or tried and had to pour it down the drain. Apparently purple frogs could be seen in the drains close to his house
for a few weeks after.

haha, yeh I tried to make a punch stylee drink using vimto and it never started fermenting even after boiling up the cordial...

my only failure (excluding human error ones) 😯

ive was looking fwd to putting it on 'To do' list.:-(
seen a couple of youtube ones.
but at the mo ive got enough on my plate just remember the first DJ let alone doing another style.

I made Vimto wine when i first started, i boiled it for 15 minutes and it took several weeks to get down to .1020 and i ended up pouring it down the sink, the best place for cordial with preservatives is on the shop shelf. :thumb:

If you wanted to start it as a 'probably won't work' effort, there an off chance that it might work OK, but plenty other brews to make that don't have the same risk!

Brought a tear to my eye tipping out 25L of that stuff haha, only saving grace was that it didn't cost too much to put together

Go to your local polish shop or world foods shop.

The cordial they sell has no preserves is high in sugar cheap and comes in many flavours.

I brewed some and called it polish prison pop. Was just to easy to drink. Lasted a week I think. :-)
