Pitched this in a brew yesterday. It's gone off and is smelling OK. Won't be able to really tell until it's conditioned for several weeks.

Only time will tell. If nothing else it's been satisfying growing something from (almost) nothing!

Glad this has been created. Just been given 6 different Belgian brews that have had secondary in the bottle.

Can I put the mix in a plastic bottle instead of demijohn? How long will it last before it needs using. I only have a 330ml of each ale, would it work? Where do you store once down?

I grew the yeast in 5 steps following MyQul's method. When I pitched I left a bit in a sterile 500ml plastic bottle, enough to make a starter.

I also cropped approx 150ml from the krausen as it's a top cropping yeast. I put 200ml of 1.040 wort to keep it.

It will last months in the fridge, but I plan to use both within a few months.

Both will need a starter prior to pitching.

Thanks. Where can I find his method
