I've just ordered a few fishing bits, well, I say a few but actually 100's of bits and pieces like hooks, etc. It got me thinking what do other people on here do, or is it just brewing? I live on the south coast so fishing is close by. I also make the most of the sea on the summer with swimming and occassionally getting to go out on a mates boat.

I also like football, watching only these days and having plenty of beer helps. I'm a bit of a gamer as well and can sit for hours on the computer with a decent game. Then theres the usual like time with the family, gardening and stuff like that which is more a requirement than hobby (thats the gardening and stuff, not time with the family).

I like watching football but only my favourite team, i am not one of those people who can happily watch any team and that includes England.

I have been a gamer since the early days of computer/console gaming and have had most consoles, i have a PS4 at the moment and am more than happy with it, just finished -

I'm a football fan, although I've not been down to Sunderland for a game since my son was born 18 months ago. My 2 are old enough now that my wife can put them both to bed on her own, so once we stop losing every week my Dad and I can look to arranging a trip down.

I also love listening to music. My taste is pretty eclectic (I love everything from the odd pop artist [only the odd one] right through to metal) and I make sure I catch 2 or 3 brand new releases every Friday through Apple Music. If anyone cares, the new Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness album is my pick of the year so far for the indie-pop lovers of the forum.

On the gaming side, I bought £1000 gaming laptop last year and my advice is never buy a Lenovo. They had good reviews but its another Lenovo with problems with the display flickering. not too bad but you have to limit the processor speed to less than 100% and you dont buy expensive laptops to limit them.

My team is Arsenal btw and I just arranged to go to the pub with a couple of mates to watch tonights game. I tend to go to Brighton gmers nore though as its my local club and easier to get tickets.

I used to do lots of things. Play guitar in a doom band, sail cats, read, logic and math puzzles, computer games, kickboxing, travelling, cooking. Most of that has given way to being Dad, which will ramp up this summer when number 2 arrives.

I started building my own gaming rigs back in the GeForce 3 series days and carried on upgrading regularly until i got sick of constantly upgrading and the expense of doing so, i finally moved to console and although i missed the joy of playing FPS's with keyboard and mouse i eventually got used to playing with a controller and haven't for a long time played online shooters.

Sticking to home brewing, growing veg and fish keeping now days , had to give up flashing when they started flashing back and got savaged by a very large German Shepard l:lol::lol:

Mountain biking, watching rugby league, watching my boy play football

Building and riding bikes for me. I love them. Rode 4200km last year which was a PB.
Also enjoy surfing, climbing and camping. I spent 5 years restoring a 67 camper van and now enjoy going away with the dog for the weekend in the better weather. Hoping to take a crate of homemade along this year now I have another hobby.

I can't watch telly or play games, I just don't have the concentration span. I have a PS2 but I FIFA 2002 is about as far as I got with it!

Music used to be my one big passion, guitarist in an instrumental post-metal type band in my 20.
Started a bit of weights training about a year and a half ago and really got into it, much to the surprise of friends and family, never really been the sporty type, but i still spend a few hours a week at the gym.

That just don't sound right!:-?

I like to drink beer as well as make it, hahah.
I'm also a musician - I'm a trombone player in 5 different types of bands, ranging from traditional brass, R&B, swing, trad jazz, and salsa.
I like to growing my own veg and fruit and keep chickens. The chooks love anything left over from mashing!
I also dabble in mountain biking

I'm pretty bad at trying new hobbies and dumping them as soon as I realise I'm not very good (art, fishing, music) One thing I've always enjoyed is a bit of gaming and can still happily spend days on end playing.

The thing is at least you're trying stuff.. nobody is good at everything! Sitting there like a big pudding is a way to destroy yourself...

I played in a reggae/ folk (yes) band for years and gave it up when my guitarist/bass player moved away. Sold all my instruments and bought cameras instead!! Do a fair bit of macro stuff and a bit off sport photography if my son is in the frame. My kids have both left home but love to see them. Love live music of quality, which is not guys thrashing instruments, but mostly loads of notes, so its Captain Beefheart/Frank Zappa type stuff. Otherwise during the summer Im involved in cricket in every way. Best bowling figures 8 for 26!!. Love cooking and making bread as well and occasionally the odd beer. Worked in health-care for 35 years and decide it was full of nutcases, most of whom can't speak or understand english.
There you go - thats me
