I had recorded this one as having been drunk already, bottled 19th March.
Whilst playing in the garage this evening, I found the whole batch of 24L at the bottom of the pile!

Will have a taster tomorrow, I feel.

In Brewdog Glasgow, I finally get to try an official NEIPA - Hazy Jane.

A little under-whelmed to be honest. Not that it was bad or anything. I think I maybe expected too much. It started off more bitter than I expected. Then, by the end of the can, I was thinking it was too sweet. Probably just me [emoji23] lol

My girlfriend (strictly Bud and Stella) had a pint (this is Glasgow remember) of Kingpin lager.

Tonight, Belgian pale Ale, followed by a Belgian Dubbel, a Tintin cartoon, a film based on an Agatha Christie "Hercule Poirot" story and a large bowl of chips and mayonnaise.

So, that's 70% of Belgium's contribution to contemporary civilisation in 5 short hours.

Joking apart, I'm sure Belgium is much maligned, although mainly since its yeasts and chocolates do out-perform its human populace in objective usefulness .

Tonight is a Belgian Pale Ale, pitched 30th April. Magnificent beer, kudos to the custodians of the yeast.

It may be about obsession.

Thinking on this, where does self discipline end and obsession begin?.

Very blurred lines and ones that I have probably lived between for almost all of my life.

I'm off to brugge for xmas, cant wait. dumon chocolate, a visit to the duvelerium for the best cheese and breadsticks in the world, and a frkandel & frites met mayo from the snack cart in the main square. oh, not forgetting the beers

on the way home stock up an vanuxeem in ploegsteert - sheer bliss.

as for tonight, an old hooky, not bad a a change plus a who's gaarden, a working hard in the yard and finished off with a risky business 2! - good night all :-)

Ok limited intake ready for the hospital dash with baby no2. Got a couple in and I think I will try a dark vanilla porter I picked up from lidl

Tonight a Summer Lightning pitched towards the end of February with US 05 / WLP002 yeast blend.

Instead of Challenger and Goldings, it is Progress, Bobek and First Gold. So maybe the only similarity is the grain bill - all pale malt - Maris Otter in this case.

All the same it is really good. A very straightforward and no-frills beer. Wonderfully clear and hopped to understatement by modern standards - 45g to bitter and 42g split @ 15m and 0mins

Crikey that's come around quick mate. Best of luck with No2.

Best I get a few more brews on to send over bottle swaps as time for brewing will be limited for a few months.

I picked up a four pack of Elvis Juice (I normally refuse to buy BD beer) but Tesco had £3 off and the 4 pack £4.

I think they have to as they've got to change the name *s******s*
