Good evening all, Friday night is beer night, not had a brew since Sunday afternoon, spitting out feathers doesn't come anywhere near covering it off. So, down to business....I'm starting the evening with a (all) tweaked Coopers Stout (Coffee, 454g treacle and aramis hops), next will be a Wherry (454g Golden Syrup), then a Youngs Harvest pilsner (BE, spray malt, brown sugar, German cascade hops) and lastly a John Bull IPA (300g honey, German Cascade hops). There might be one more after that but that'd be it for the night, at that point the Sandman turns up and it's bo-bo's time. So what's in the glass for you tonight?

Midweek Dutto. Sophisticated dose of bitterness.

My GH summer ale out the keg. ...crystal clear and already on the to do list. A 4 week bottled GH cascade ale..got chill haze from the shed but very good and a couple of GH dry stout...gets better every time..
All on all a VG GH kinda night...curry fermenting

I'm drinking the first bottle of the 1 gallon Pliny the Elder clone extract kit I bought half price on black Friday and brewed 6 weeks ago.

First impressions, totally flat, seriously cloudy.....
....but a lovely aroma and absolutely delicious, with a beautiful balance of hops. Definitely the best beer I have brewed and possibly the best I have ever tasted.

I will definitely try to recreate this from scratch, or possibly buy another kit at full price. :thumb:

Drinking an ESB that was pitched 6 August 2017. It sort of got lost somehow and maybe past its best, but lovely beer nonetheless.
Checking the stats it seems it was circa 6.5%. That explains a lot.

Still recovering from Aussie flu, virus is gone but the post virus fatugue has drained me so I am still on water..

Second Friday in a row no beer, I could have one but I just do not feel up to it.. planning on getting back on it tomorrow.

You get yourself right, Rich. One more day off the beer than you think you need might actually help.
Advice offered by one who should have followed such advice a few times over.

First pint tonight was a American amber, followed by my last bottle of ambriox. It's 18 month old and bleeding lovely.

Out shopping with the family, little one fell asleep so I've nipped in to Cafe beermoth.
A lovely boon framboise to start. Massive Raspberry Aroma. Not overly sour for a lambic tastes like Raspberry sherbet.
