It was @IainM ’s Zombie Dust Colme that was at the sorting office.

I think my neighbour has drank @Hoddy ’s beers - I went around twice, lights on and dogs barking, but nobody answering the door!

I wouldn't say they are that bad in which they could induce an instant coma on drinking........ But then again.................

I managed to collect it last night so panic over!

I have 2 bottles to collect from the sorting office so that makes 6 entries.

Provisional judging date the evening of 17th February. 3 judges (possibly 4), Winner announced 18th, and my tee-total web-designer fun media geek friend is going to film it.

So the bottle marked Ark would do well to sit at carb temp until your ready to test it. You’ll see that it’s a little underfilled as the keg was a bit over pressurised on filling so I’ve primed it a little. The other one Rkt should be good to go as it’s max filled.

Just chill both of them right down for a day or so before testing

Interested to see what you make of those beers

Dave the Italian Stallion now has the entries and they are in his fridge to settle after their journey to his in my car.

Provided he doesn’t get thirsty tonight we will be judging at around 8pm tomorrow.

He’s just sent me this photo:

I’ve just realised it says in the rules that feedback is to be kept private. Does anyone object to their beer tasting being filmed?

No objection here. I think the idea is to give constructive criticism and suggestions in private, so you could always focus on the positives on camera but give more detail in PM.

Thanks all.

I think the idea for filming is we’ll just each say what we think it looks, smells and tastes like and give each attribute a score out of 10. There’s 4 of us with very different tastes (I’m an all rounder with a preference for hoppy beers, we have another guy who likes his craft beers and real ales, a “mainly lager but loves a good pale ale at a beer festival”, and a Tennants drinker) so opinions will probably differ wildly. Video will be no more in depth than “Ooh I can smell grapefruit” and suchlike.

We’ll write up a more detailed feedback on each based on our notes which will be sent by PM.

The results are in. If you want to wait for the video look away now.

It was very close.

5= @Hoddy ’s rocket pale
5= @Oneflewover
3= @IainM
3= @jceg316
2. @Hoddy ’s Arkeon pale
1. @Spapro

Video will be available tomorrow with individual feedback in the coming days. Congratulations to all entrants. There was only 8 points between first and last which, considering there were 5 judges, is incredibly close!

Well done to all those taking part. Thanks Mick, look forward to the feedback and this spurs me on to enter more comps in the future.

Will post my recipe up later when on laptop
