Prices look good, how is the packaging?
No idea, I’ll find out on Monday when they arrive :laugh8: ...but £1/kg :groupdancing:

Over the last few days I’ve had a bit of a lengthy email conversation with a very nice person there (I’ve had a bag of grain from them), and the long and the short is they’re clearly trade oriented, selling to small/micro breweries or whoever, but are now looking to sell more to home brewers. Their account opening is like a trade account and long winded, and they calculate shipping on a kinda individual basis to get the lowest cost ...so not to the sort of straight through processing we’re all used to online, BUT they apparently have a new web site comming out in a month or two, and they’re looking at getting better shipping cost for small orders that a homebrewer will place ...SO given their malt price I think anyone would be daft to ignore them.

They are very cheap. There is a thread trying to organise a group buy in the south east. It didn't generate much attention

At £5 for 5kg (+p&p) who needs a group.

...as they’re getting on a bit, 2013 harvest, I’m planning to re-invent hoppy ales :laugh8:

It would be nice to see their hop prices
Just send ‘em an email or call ‘em. It’s how shopping used to be 25 years ago before everything went online and you no longer have to deal with a human being. ;)

They arrived today, 5kg bails/bag (silver plastic) and each in the boxes from the original supplier/manufacturer ...cascade leaf from YCHHOPS, saaz leaf from Hopunion and Hallertau pellets from Hopsteiner.

...now where to store them...

Will these actually still contain any oils seeing as they are from 2013????
I’m not sure where the 2013 came from, two were dated 2015, BBE 11/18, the other had no date on. I’ve opened the Saaz leaf to dry hop something and they smell pretty good to me ...time will tell.
