Found a couple of bags of flaked barley so plan on knocking something together today with one.
I've played around with the recipe builder there and come up with something similar to (according to the builder) an Irish red ale, I've never heard of this style, let alone tasted any. But I'll give it a go and see what happens.
The recipe is:
2800g pale malt
250 crystal
250 flaked barley
90 mins mash time
for the boil:
20g EKG @90 mins
10 Styrian @ 90 mins
5g Cascade @10 mins
1/2 tab finning @10
I'm not sure about dry hopping this style, I'd like to know if this advisable or no?
