Thats a seriously good deal, the boiler and chiller alone would normally cost that much. Does it have a hop filter for the boil or do you just use the bag again?

I also bought this kit but progressed to Ace Microbrewer which is very good despite the people that rubbish it. I did buy the Ace to replace the Peco kit as it does have a tendency for melting the plug leads which after some research is a inherent fault with it due to the plug leads are only rated to 10 amps and I believe it is not possible to get a higher rated one I am sure somebody with more electrical knowledge will expand on this however that said it is a excellent way to get into all grain and I would buy it again but keep a spare lead incase it melts again

That’s a superb deal. When you take into account some all grain recipe kits are the best part of £20 you’re getting a boiler, chiller and bag for under £65.

I bought a ready-made wort chiller last winter and it was almost £30 alone.

As Mick says the kits they throw in on the deal are anywhere from £12 to £20 and I have brewed a few of them when I first started AG, they are excellent gives you a much easier way to learn your equipment until you feel confident to brew your own recipe

How easy is this to achieve and maintain mash temperature ? Is there a dial setting or do you need to use an Inkbird?

I find it good at getting upto temperature but know others have installed a second element.

I wrap it in a sleeping bag to maintain temperature during the mash and lose 1c, although during my last brew it maintain temperature throughout

Thanks... So there's not a temperature setting?

You turn it on, measure the temperature with a thermometer and at 67degerees you turn it off and insulate it..

I've read elsewhere the element isn't 'the best', is it still OK to achieve a constant boil?

No temp setting. I used an inkbird set to alarm at whatever strike water temp
I needed.
As for the boiler, I’ve never regretted buying it. Got it over a year ago and done plenty of biab brews with no problems. Achieves a good rolling boil.
The only thing I’d say is to check the scale on the boiler. Mine was way out.
Just bought a grainfather, but still use this for my sparge water.
This looks a great deal to me.
Forgot to add. I've seen people saying that the kettle lead was melting and they needed to replace them.
I don't know if these were earlier versions, but it's not something I've had a problem with,
even with 90 min boils. It gets a bit warm, but that's it.

No problem with the element, gets a really good rolling boil. I would second the earlier comment about the scale on the side. Make your own markings
