Testing a glass of carrot mead. Then a wee dram of Talisker before bed. Done nothing all day and I. Still feel knackered

After a lovely Apa from @dan125 I am now drinking this delight

Just going to pour a wee glass of raspberry and lime cider. Pretty tasty stuff, but it's a bit more powerful than expected. Too much sugar given to feed too much yeast. Next time I'll be a bit more sensible.
acheers.

Calpe craft beer festival. Free entry with beers around 2-3 euros.
The beers are varied and excellent. Home brew stall too.

Just finished a brew day. Just opened a hobgoblin IPA that's been in the fridge for days. Got a bottle of owd Roger in there too.

Old peculiar is the first "real ale" I tried and which opened up this fantastic hobby. I should realy do a clone.

It's one I now regularly buy, to think it wasn't that many years ago I wouldn't have touched it (and all the other beers I have tried) with a bargepole as I only liked lager back then. ashock1

That's like confessing to being a "flasher" ...

... but I have to admit that I drank lager in large quantities in the 1960's; and after pouring in a goodly dollop of Lime Juice it became quite drinkable after about the fifth or sixth pint!

Shamefully it'll be commercial Newcastle Brown ale as I don't yet have any home brews in store.... I need the bottles see.

Sometimes with half a pint of cider and blackcurrant mixed in. wink...

Just finished a phone call with an old friend who also reminded me that "Lager & Black" was an option as well as "Lager and Lime" and "Lager and a Splash" (lemonade).

Her comment also reminded me exactly how **** the old Carlings and Heineken Lagers were (are?)!

Urg skol. That stuff gives me the shivers. Drank plenty of that back in my teenage years.

Edit. And K cider. Which you can still get.
