Has anyone got one of these? I've seen sometimes theres issues with trub/yeast not actually making its way into the catch bottle.

What do you think of it?

Yep, I really like mine. The valve at the bottom is a bit small but Its usually just the last little bit of yeast that doesn't settle into the bottle.
Version 2 is due out in a couple of months I beleive - with a much bigger valve at the bottom. Might be worth waiting for them to become available.

I like the idea of it being clear also so you can keep a close eye on fermentation. Maltmiller has them on special for £90. Tempted to get the v1 anyway

I've been using it for nearly a year and I still enjoy being able to see what's going on. there's loads of pics of it in action in my brewday thread
Other big advantages are being able to pressure transfer with zero O2 exposure (except for opening the lid to add dry hops), and being able to ferment 28L batches.

Yeah I’ve been dead happy with mine. All of those plus points of actually being able to see what’s going on. But all the most important benefits like closed transfers, yeast collection and pressure fermenting mean it’s the best low cost conical you can buy full stop.

I personally can’t wait for the V2 as some of the designs will be refined and it should work allot better as it’s been purpose built. Rather than the V1 which was an accident from a keykeg design.

If you keg and you like hazy super hoppy beers (like this) then this is for you

I would like the yeast collection, and enjoy being able to see in to it, I can do closed transfers with my ss brewbucket and not sure if I would use pressure fermenting (what's the advantages of this?)
There are times however when I would like a second fermenter so interested in what the V2 is like when it comes out.
When I bought my brewbucket it was a toss up between that and the fermentasaurus but at the time I didn't have corny kegs/big C02 cylinder so felt it lost its advantages but now that I do.....?

How do people regulate the temperature on these? Presumably you'd need a larder fridge due to the height.

I don't think it'd fit in an under counter fridge - mines in a tall larder fridge and there's not very much head room
