Hi. Just been looking at this recipe as its my next brew. Il be sticking as close to the recipe as possible but il be using the imperial juice yeast. My problem is the mash it says 66c for 25 mins. Has anyone done this and had success? Also do you use a protofloc in a NEIPA or skip it?

I've never tried the short mash - not sure of the point/benefit other than saving a bit of time??
I always leave out the Irish Moss when I make a NEIPA as I don't want to take out the haze that's naturally there.
Let us know how it comes out.
acheers.

I used the Imperial Juice yeast recently in a Lychee IPA and it worked very well. Need to try it a 'normal' IPA next as not sure how much of the flavour was from the yeast or the lychee puree.

DIY Dog is notorious for misprints, and I’m sure there are quite a few of the other recipes that specify a 75min mash so I’m wondering if it’s meant to say that.

I've a copy of the original recipe sheet as posted on the shareholders forum I can send you if you want. Does look like 25 mins

Edit - I've also asked on the forums for you as well

Has Brulosophy done an exbeeriment on reduced mash times and how they affect conversion? I'm sure there's no real reason why an hour is necessary, but is half an hour enough?

If you Google DiyDog then you'll find a PDF that BrewDog released with over 200 recipes.
