The problem with E bikes is the same as cars range and expense, there are some nice ones in the video below but by the end they are awful.

Another excuse for impatient car drivers when they knock you off, "I didn't hear or see it officer" aheadbutt
By the time they give excuses it's normally to late anyway :). I'd never go touring over large distances. I do agree about the 12000. A large speaker maybe :)

I think some of the big tourers (Goldwing for one) do have a reverse!

It always scares me when I see the reverse lights of a car in front go on - normally at traffic lights...

On the big bikes i think it would be a big plus i can imagine how difficult it must be trying to push a big bike backwards out of a parking spot.

This was delivered this morning and is likely to distract me from brewing when the weather improves (i.e. no salt spreading)...

Now I need to hide it amongst the brewing equipment before the SWMBO gets home as I forgot to mention I had bought it :laugh8:

Oh, man, that is awesome! So beautiful. It is very Triumph.

(waits for Gunge to steam in calling me a wuss) :laugh8:

WUSS!! Can't wait for the roads to dry out so's I can engage in a little highway insanity. Just love opening the taps so that the world seems like something out of a video game and all the other traffic appears to be hurtling backwards in hyperdrive.

I knew you wouldn't be able to resist. :laugh8:

No, and I couldn't resist getting the sickle out this afternoon as the roads appeared to have dried out. So... coming round a roundabout almost horizontally, I realised I wasn't going to make the exit so had to 'stand' the bike upright and veer left to avoid hitting the kerbed grass divider. A result of over-exuberance / being overwhelmed with power after a lay-off from riding, and a suddenly greasy surface at the scene of the incident. I got off and could feel the blood pounding like hell in my jugular... a response to a sudden and excessive influx of adrenaline. And yes, I physically did shat myself. All part of the fun I say.

The problem with E bikes, E cars and pretty much E anything really, is that they are shyte and invariably the result of some minority protest group or another forcing their will on to the majority.

I get the same after a van stopped in front of me stuck it in reverse and did this, I can see it being more scary on a bike as well.

I've had a guy walk past me in a parking bay and say hello before getting in to his car, then reverse in to me and my bike. He got out of his car said he hadn't seen me!
Has he picked himself up off the floor wiping the blood off his nose I reminded him he'd just said hello. Luckily he came off worse.

Out on the bike again this a.m., and this dude gets out of his car and starts striding towards me at the traffic lights! Seems he wasn't best pleased with my exuberant riding style and had took offence at it. I saw him coming and just had time to dismount and put me cycle on its stand, whereupon this nutjack starts punching me helmet (lol). So I kicked him in the balls and gave his throat a karate chop. Lights changed so I got back on me sickle while this guy's rolling around in the traffic, holding his nuts whilst making funny gurgling noises and throwing up. You get all sorts of freaks round here.

You often see riders punching others in the head (helmet) in bike racing i wonder how many regret that once the Adrenalin has died down and they realise how much their hands hurt. :laugh8:

I’m an American football fan and it happens a lot there too. Particularly stupid when a broken hand is going to mean you can’t play!
