Homebrew company are up there with refurbed and un-refurbed. I have always bought un-refurbed from them and have always had ones that hold pressure (they pressurise them before postage) and a O ring sets can be bought for about £3 to £4

+1 for homebrewcompany. The 3 reconditioned ones i got recently were a snip and in great nick. As another poster said, delivered pressurised and great that a run through of starsan and you know you are good to go.

Was the shipping free on those? Going to get sponge ordered ion the next week or two.

So, following recommendations I ordered 3 FULLY REFURBISHED cornies from Homebrew company.
Great price and included delivery.

I received them today and am a bit pi@@ed off at the condition of the seals on the posts externally.
They appear old and are certainly perished with one missing altogether.
Not what I’d consider a fully refurbished keg to be.

I have emailed to HBC and hopefully the issue will be resolved, however any resolution is probably going to involve them sending me seals and me refurbishing them myself. Not what I’d consider satisfactory.

Lets hope this has been an oversight and they bend over backwards to put this right as The Homebrew company has a very good reputation amongst members here.

they've always supplied new post gaskets around the feet of the lid clamp for me?

By that what I mean is the o rings on the posts are sometimes a bit ropey, but good or bad all kegs I've had have come with new o rings slipped over the feet of the lid clamp for safe keeping. If they are bad just replace them.
