Started tonight on ‘Bet the Farm’ which is a continental pale ale from Duration, pretty interesting guys who are doing up a listed farmhouse in Norfolk to brew from. A nice slightly tart pale ale with much of the flavour coming from what I suspect is a blend of yeasts. Now on Solar Wave which is a Brut IPA i bought in Tesco. It’s not for me. At £2 it won’t be a good example of the style but fair to say I haven’t warmed to Brut IPA at all
 
Tonight I am on a Wilco Golden ale made with 500g each of golden syrup and light dme, dry hopped for 7 days with citra pellets.
Used Crossmyloof US Pale ale yeast.
As per the thread on pimping the wilco kit.
Like it, enjoyed playing. For the money when it comes to add ons think I will stick with the Youngs APA which I enjoy.

Chocolate milk stout with cacao nibs, cinammon and fenugreek.

I really like what the fenugreek adds. I'm wondering if it would work in a Belgian Tripel....

Oh! And Strathisla 12yr old single malt, as it's Burns Night!!
 
Nothing cos I'm in London sunday evening for the start of a 5 day Unix course. I already have a trip to porterhouse, a suitable spoons that does pizza, nicholsons opposite hms belfast and a brewdog to fit in... Heaven help my liver....

Shame it wasn’t last night dude , could have said hello !

Last night was Burns, so I was cooking the neeps, tatties and reading out the ode to the haggis! Tonight is a mates birthday so we will be off to Brew York and House of Trembling Madness. I'm often in there if you are back again acheers.

Had an Abbott ale at the January panto this afternoon. What the **** have Green King done to their beers? Abbott was a fav back in the 90s...
2/3 bottle red at Turkish restaurant for dinner.
Now onto my Box Mill - really nice, need to drop the bitterness a fraction but close to a regular recipe with this.
Maybe a sloe vodka or bullace whiskey to end.

Chocolate stout made in November from the recipe published on here somewhere. Powerful stuff, and getting better with each passing month. I also made an AG Brown Ale which is seriously malty and results from first time I have buggered about with water chemistry. Turns out all I needed to do was reduce the alkalinity after all. I am still using my Electric bin from 20 years ago, and the wife goes mental each time I wreck the kitchen, but I paid for it. If she wants to buy me a Grainfather that's just peachy with me!

A roasted stout ( Mangrove Jack kit) from last night, having a few today too. Was a little worried when adding sugar to each individual bottle, did not know if i was adding too much or too little. Its pretty good.
