These seem to be the cheapest 12 litre cornies I have found on my quest to obtain a few 9 litre ones (Holy cow they are rare). If any of you are interested then it's here:

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5...0001&campid=5338413729&icep_item=143102434174

My only ask is if anyone does decide to buy and collect, can you let me know so I can chuck some money your direction and maybe we could get a discount. It does mean I can then at least arrange for a courier.

Better still if you have some 9 Litres you don't want... Come get me!

Dammit. Where you travelling from? Would you mind asking if they mind if I send a courier? I have asked but no reply yet.

Hope they are good

I am travelling from East London, I certainly will let him know, If you can get a few others interested from the Sheff side maybe it will cut the cost of courier, PM me, maybe we can come to some arrangement where i can send them upto you via hermes, as a fellow of Sheffield roots i don't mind the trouble if it is no more that 2 kegs. any way PM me.....David

Tempted but it's a 160mile round trip, I've got one 9l keg but a little more capacity would be good.

Does anyone sell these 12l aeb kegs new? Not seen any, only 9 or 19.

I'd like a one if you're going to message about a courier for bulk order. In Derby so not too far if you'd be up for meeting halfway in chesterfield?!

I have asked about courier but the seller is not replying to messages about the question.

I am still happy to do this but I have got an arrangement with David in place for 2 of them to be collected on Monday when he goes. I know he is only carrying by hand!

If you can get some comms back from the seller before today around courier or if I do then we can look to arrange something but I'm not holding my breath!

I have managed to speak to the seller to arrange for a courier to collect one of the kegs this week. Will report on quality when it arrives.

From what DavidHatton reports they are in good nick, just a bit dusty. Should have mine on a few days so will also report back

Just to update my 12L keg has just arrived. Condition generally looks good. A bit dirty inside but o-rings on posts and main seal look good. The only issue I can see is the liquid out dip tube looks to be bent, see below photo - hope this doesn't cause any issues but will have to see when I take it apart later. Anyone know if these are sold anywhere?

The liquid tube is bent by design so it sucks up from the central recess. Remember these are soda kegs by design and are meant to extract every last drop.

Mine too were in good nick. Slight rust on the inside of one (was concerning) overnight soak with PBW seemed to bring them up good again. Not sure if this is indicative of further issues...?

Held pressure to 50 odd with the current seals which is more than sufficient until I get some replacement o rings.

Overall good buy.

Maintaining a seal at 50 psi is not so difficult to achieve, they're much more likely to leak at 5 psi. Best bet is to put new seals on, it's not going to break the bank.

Also mild rust visible in mine. Planning on using generic oxy cleaner in hot water for an hour later, followed by a good clean with a cloth to see if that shifts it.

Would someone mind measuring the height and diameter for me please? Trying to put together a keg set up. Unfortunately my fridge has room for only one 19l so I'm going to get this or a 9l one from Malt Miller
