I have bought some of these, they are the snub nose fermentasaurus 75 GBP for 2 with pressure kits.
Fitted taps on the bottom, gassed up the secondary using the venting co2 transfer into secondary from tap to tap. If bulk priming using sugar or dextrose boil up for a minute or 2 pour into bottling bucket and bottle from there.

OK now I want one of these.

Only thing putting me off the full size ones is the size! Don't have masses of room to ferment and no chamber.

I can't seem to find one of these in the UK. Is it a product in its own right or have you made modifications to a normal fermentasaurus?

I couldn't say for certain having never batch primed in the bucket myself but I fancy giving a go next time so I'll let you know how it goes. Having said that, I would suspect with a really good cold crash and very gentle stirring in of the sugar solution I would suspect you wouldn't rouse up to much yeast - certainly not enough to cause you any issues.

Carbonation drops are definitely another possibility and one I've considered in the past too but they don't offer you much in the way of flexibility if you like to carbonate to different CO2 volumes depending on style.
I'm not too bothered about correct carbonation levels and I tend to carbonate beers to the same level. Even with best bitters I much prefer them with some fizz.

They were released about 2 weeks ago by Keg King, about 700 mm in height so they fit easily into a fridge they also have a dip tube so could transfer through the liquid posts. I do know there is a lot of international interest in them so I would imagine it will not be long when you see them in the UK.

Just seen this advertised on Facebook. That's a bit of a game changer. Fantastic price.

That is literally what I'm after! Thanks for sharing, it says it's not in stock so I hope more are on the way and it's not discontinued. I'll email and find out.

I wrote to brew builder to find out when theirs is back in stock but they never wrote back.

On their FB page Angel said they expect them to be in stock end of April / start of May.

They come from the same manufacturer as the Klarstien I had my eye on them, before the snub nose fermentasaurus was released. As mentioned above the dump valve at the bottom is small and it does block up, but better to use the upper drain valve anyhow and take the beer off the yeast cake. The manufacturers do know of the problem so may come out with another model.
Good choice if you are after a stainless fermenter.

Now that payday is coming up, I'm strongly considering getting a SS Brew Bucket. I was originally gonna go for a Fermentasaurus but I just see it as another plastic fermenter which will break. I'm sure it will do a lot of people good, but I just see it breaking on me.

I'm opening a fermentation room on my wife's farm which will include a homebrew setup later this year (not making beer professionally). I'll be looking at SS fermenters for that as well and will probably get a couple of the Angel Homebrew 30 litre vessels.

That BrewDevil is very cheap for an SS conical. I just recently got a brewbuilder conical and it's pretty nice. @jceg316 they seem to come into and out of stock frequently so I'm sure it'll be back soon. He's not always the quickest to respond to emails but he always responded to mine eventually. They also swapped out the default ball valves for butterflies for a small surcharge.

I did eventually get a reply saying they were back in stock, but it's a bit too expensive. I would rather have ball valves with hose barbs than tri clamps which is the current set up, as I don't have anything else which uses triclamps and would then cost me more money to get triclamp hosebarb fittings. It's probably worth asking if it's a reduced price ball valves instead.

That's fair, it's still expensive even if it is almost half the price of a brewtech chronical, I'd been putting it off for ages then I got a generous gift at Christmas which was a good excuse to pull the trigger.

It comes with a 90 deg hose barb for the blow-off tube, I move this to the side valve and use it for bottling. The conical comes with all the valves and fittings where they're flat bottomed FVs don't.

The biggest problem I have with mine is cooling them. I didn't want coils inside. I am looking at fabricating a jacket to work with my bar chiller. Been experimenting sticking silicon piping to 2mm neoprene then sandwich with reflective bubble insulation. Determining the area is awkward and it's a very messy job,,,,

Anyone else had success making a cooling jacket?

I can't speak to the build quality of the fermentasaurus. However, the Ss brew tech buckets are superb. They are expensive however if treated well they will literally last a lifetime. The build quality is very good and they are very easy the use and clean. You will not be disappointed.

The only other ss fermenter I like the look of is the anvil (by blichmann) brew bucket. Very similar and a bit cheaper.

Where did you get these from? I've been looking everywhere for these with a UK supplier

Thanks

I got them from the manufacturer in Australia, they have only been released for about 4 weeks and I do know that they have just started to export them to USA. The company is MCH Australia.
