Importers should have such documentation available. But who is policing it? I bet most of the cheap, unbranded phone and laptop chargers you see on eBay or not compliant. I bought a replacement charger for my laptop; whenever I plugged it into my laptop the mouse froze. When I unplugged it my mouse worked again. So I binned it.
That really depends on the country. Here in Norway if you cannot provide documentation like this then you cannot import it on a business level. Ive not lived in the UK for many years but I assume it is the same there.

David, I agree. China can make goods that are the equal of any in the USA or Europe. I think the Chinese government is cracking down on all the dodgy companies that flout the regulations.

M RoboBrew has arrived whilst I'm in Dubai- can't wait to get home and do my first AG brew!!

That is the one I have just ordered but it was £250.
Was in an email amazon sent after I put one in a basket to buy but never completed - apparently they often send you a cheaper deal!
Wonder if they are selling them so cheap have they a new model coming along?

I was looking at the robobrew at £320 (thought you only got the spider,jacket on the 50l one) but didn't really want the chiller (have one already but tend to no chill anyway). So the deal I got was perfect for me. Been dispatched and can't wait for it to arrive.

<edit> this no longer has context, as this was in response to a post from someone who has deleted their message. They asserted that the hop spider and jacket was included in the price of the robobrew. I'll add that I am very happy with the Robobrew, it's my first experience of all grain brewing, and I have two awesome looking beers fermenting (done on two days last week)... will need to write up my experience in another thread.

<original post follows>
I bought the Robobrew at £320 it does not include the jacket or hop spider.

Although it is pictured with jacket and hop spider, they are not mentioned in the description of items included. It does come with the chiller, the rest are add on purchases.

I recently got the Robobrew v3.1 at Brewkegtap for 320 pounds. It had the chiller but no spider or jacket. Always pays to shop around.

The number next to the CE mark belongs to ZENITH INTERNATIONAL COMPLIANCE SERVICES CO.,LTD of China. It seems to be legitimate. Their website does not accept https connections but I was able to access it after tuning of some filters applied by BT internet. See https://www.zics.cn/

I would trust Robobrew. And that is not a China Export thingy, it's the real McCoy.
Don't trust anyone you don't know, I had the Robobrew 2 and had some problems, it had an approval number, which when I phoned the company turned out to be fake. They had done an approval on another item some years before which is where the number originated but with one digit missing.
Also I notice the Norwegian Robobrew 3 has the AU/NZ approval sign of the tick, which they do not have, none of their electrical goods have been approved in Australia / New Zealand.

The distributor in Australia is KegLand. They self-certify that it complies with AS/NZ 60335.2.15. It does not need to be registered with that database by my understanding. This is the same for CE marked equipment, most of it is self-certified by the manufacturer or importer. It does not require approval by a certifying authority.
