The distributor in Australia is KegLand. They self-certify that it complies with AS/NZ 60335.2.15. It does not need to be registered with that database by my understanding. This is the same for CE marked equipment, most of it is self-certified by the manufacturer or importer. It does not require approval by a certifying authority.
The law changed on April 1 st 2019 for Australia, bringing in more strict approvals in line with Tasmania and Queensland. What is also odd is the Robobrew 3 and the 3.1 carry the same number, even though the screen and circuit board have been modified in the 3.1 so therefore should have different numbers.

Which number are you referring to?

KegLand is the importer..............

The UK importer is BrewKegTap; I've written to them to ask for a 'Declaration of Conformity'. But I think the Chinese manufacturer has done the CE approval process because ZICS is a Chinese company that does all the work for manufacturers. Its website is interesting. https://www.zics.cn/

I apologise for repeating this but it's for the benefit of the lass who has just bought one and is worried by this discussion on Robobrew's certification (in another thread) https://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/threads/robobrew.81601/

That's right ZICS has done the approval, they did it for the Robobrew 3 and strangely enough the Robobrew 3.1 is carrying the same CE number.

Thank you Kelper. Much appreciated.

I have seen the 'Declaration of Conformity' for the CE marking. The Robobrew sold in the UK is fully compliant.

@Bex Brew - please allow members here to start a conversation with you under your profile...privacy. Then I can send you the proof that the Robobrew is properly certified for sale in the UK.

Thank you Kelper, I really appreciate it. I'll have a look at my privacy settings.

I thought all would be ok, just a slight doubt with the comments. Received the Robobrew today and it looks pretty smart. I look forward to playing with my new toy. So many plans and ideas. I have some unhopped liquid extract that I bought in bulk that needs using, so I'm tempted to use that first and pimp it up with hops so I can get used to the settings etc. Then I'll have a go at the proper all grain. Thinking of using the Malt Miller to purchase my Grains. Not used them before, but I like the variety.

It really should be a given that no retailer is going to sell equipment that is not CE approved. This would be business suicide.

David, with respect, you keep saying this but Amazon has had to stop selling dozens of chargers that were dangerous. Any unscrupulous seller on eBay or Amazon Marketplace can claim his goods have CE.

Ok, fair point, just seems rather crazy to me!

Just to note, all has been approved and ok with regards to the Robobrew. There was just a slight doubt from myself because of questioning on this forum regarding the certification of the product. The owner of the UK supplier has been in contact and I am happy with his response. If anybody else has questions regarding this product, I'm sure he'd be happy to answer
