It is time for something special for the summer :)

In this video, I detail the A to Z process behind this summer favourite recipe and method of mine that has had much testing, all in the name of science of course!

As usual, there are lots of hints and tips here, including the use of fruit, dry hopping and hop tea.

If you are seeking a very flavourful beer that will quench your summer thirst then this one will hit the target I am sure.

Not only this but because of the methods and ingredients used here this will be a very fast in every sense...fast brew, fast cleaning, fermentation and fast to your glass.

Chances are it will be fast to be brewed again also because I swear this stuff evaporates...

A final note, if for whatever reason you do not wish to brew this raw then, by all means, this will work just great with a boil but no hops are needed during this as per the recipe.

As usual, thank you for all your kind support and enthusiasm for my channel.

Please keep your questions, feedback and requests coming but please give me some time to answer, I get a lot of messages and answer them in the order they were sent in, particularly those on Facebook messenger tend to stack up! If you are comfortable then please ask questions within Facebook groups, forums or Youtube, so that others can also either benefit or contribute.

Happy brewing!

Just about to watch this video now actually. I agree with the comment above. I really enjoy your videos and it would be great to see the finished beer at the end of each video. Keep up with the great content.

Interesting recipe, it would be good to see a poured pint of the final product?
I put these onto social media later, otherwise I am waiting longer to release the content and hard drive space on 4k video is pretty harsh. I also figure that most people will know what to expect from the combination colour wise.

See my reply above. I realise that some like to see a beers colour but surely the tasting notes included are the most important thing? :P

Going to have to brew this asap David. I want it 5% though so i thought i would scale down the grain and fruit and reuce the total hops to 300g. Does that sound about right to you? It looks really yummy!
I would scale down the fruit and grain equally and look at that as a percentage and then scale the hops down by the same amount.
This would not usually work but with this recipe the hops are all added cold side and thus do not play by the same rules of bitterness.
Ive not tried this recipe at 5% but I have tried similar concepts at session strength and they do work.
The main reason this is as high as it is that many seem to feel IPAs like this should start at a minimum of 6%. That is somewhat dangerous though as the juicy element and makes it glide down very quickly!

Of course but there is something satisfying about seeing the finished article poured too.
Fair enough, I will need to consider how I can build this in without needing to buy even more hard drives, ive already got a large collection of external hard drives and I am running out of space to put them!
It is of course my own fault...moving to 4K video was a huge leap!

This looks great but I think 30l of fruity beer at that strength might be a bit much for me, might try scale it down like beer cat. Thanks for sharing the recipe David.

Yes, I totally understand that. I brewed this much because the last time I brewed it at 21L it didnt last more than 2 weeks! It seems everyone I know is thirsty for this sort of beer during the hotter months of the year!
