Well being the impatient b*llocks that I am I took another gravity reading today, 4 days after pitching. I gave it a stir first to make sure the sugar hadn't all congealed at the bottom of the FV and to give the yeast a little swirl into suspension, and as of now the SG is 1.027 meaning the ABV is 15.65%.

That means @stigman is currently closest although if it the gravity drops another point @Clint will take the closest spot.

It’s amazing it can drop so far so quickly. I know it’s not linear but imagine doing a 5% beer in a day!

Holy moly I've had weaker sherry!

A sipper for sure
You're not wrong there, I might bottle it in these:

My first go with Voss was a 4.5% pale ale, I thought it was failing to start then realised it has fermented out overnight and I'd missed it all.

Temp wise, Hornindal likes 30c, Voss likes 39c, given your over the abv tolerance for Voss it's have to assumes it's the Hornindal that's doing the work now so if be nervous going to far over 30, don't know what the temp tolerances actually are and the registry doesn't quote ranges.

Yeah I reckon you're right about that. I think from memory the kveik table says recommended pitch temp for Hornindal is 30 and max growth temp of 42 so I've ramped up to 35 and will probably keep it there for a few days. I'm just hoping that it won't be too knackered for carbonation when it gets to that.

that's my 12.86% firmly kicked into touch clapa - how are you packaging this monster? - something tells me you wont be using 660ml bottles :D

edit: ah saw your earlier post.
