Took a taste sample and it looked ok, tasted pretty good for a dark beer that's so raw and had an FG of 1.010 which is bang on target.
Got it bottled and let's see how it turns out
As this is my first pellicle I have to admit being a little nervous I'll get ebola/gangrene/necrotising zombie bugs.... But I'm sure it'll be fine.
Edited to add - before becoming a teacher, my wife was a very senior food technologist with some of the biggest suppliers in the UK. Soon as I showed it to her this evening , she exclaimed "that's a lactobacillus pellicle!" And went on to give me chapter and verse on its various chemical processes in wort.
Who knew she did so much microbiology!!! She even dug out an old textbook she used when doing brewed speciality vinegars for waitrose
Now I know this, I'll consult the swmbo before asking on here.
