I watched his videos last night, also the short circuit brewing chap.

The cost though, it’s just huge especially when you include the starter pack.

If I had to compare brewing to a sport it would be golf, people turn up on the tee with a bag full of quality expensive clubs and couldn't hit a barn door from 3 feet, same with brewing some folks will never make good beer no matter what kit they have, this kind of kit is for dedicated people who know what they are doing, me I am happy with my little Klarstein and plastic fv, even if I had the money I don't think I would buy one simply because I would probley never get the best out of it, don't get me wrong I love brewing it's very rewarding I just don't take it seriously enough it's a hobby

Ooof! That is a pretty thing. Quite a price though, but perhaps all that reflective stainless steel will blind people to the price tag?

When kitted out the smallest one is about the same price and size as a Braumeister 50l. Looks well thought out if you're in the market for a small batch brewpub setup. Seems a bit big for most home brewers but I'm sure some will pick it up.

The Brewtools stuff looks fantastic but, even if I could comfortably afford it, I still don't think I'd get one. At most I'd go to the Grainfather level but more likely the half price GF copies, such as Ace, Klarstein etc. Those systems seem to offer everything I would want as a hobby brewer.

I don't doubt that the Braumeister and Brewtools rigs are well made and provide a lot of quality but at the end of the day, at least to me, they're flashy gadgets and not a lot more.

I wish I hadn’t seen the BrewTools gear, ignorance was bliss. I think the golf analogy is a good one, all that Ping equipment and then you are still looking at big money for yearly subs. If you are into your brewing and fancy it why not. Compare it to those SSBrewTech e setups to make the price tag look reasonable!

To Quote a old analogy the tools only as good as the person using it. Maybe nice and shiny but is it making the art too technical and taking away from good old brewing skills me wonders

Yes, it is not cheap at all! But it really is a large step forward as I see it for a homebrewing system.

There is a lot of quality, convenience and utility built into these. It will not brew better wort though than any system that can hold temperature accurately with the facility to separate wort from trub and chill to pitching temps. It's like choosing a car really, features to price point vs budget. One key point though is that the GF and other similar all in one systems apart from the BM all have heating elements that cannot be replaced. So when they die your system dies with it.

Yes, very very shiny, but very very expensive. I know home brewing isn't all about saving money by making your own beer, more the pleasure of brewing something as good as the commercial brewers, but to me, spending that sort of money on home brew equipment is nuts.

One of the big plusses for the BM is every part can be changed, the cheaper versions don't allow this so if the element goes its scrap l assume this system also has a replaceable element.
