Hi Rod
Original Gravity (OG): 1.045
...
Bitterness (IBU): 15.8
... that looks like a low level of bitterness, against that amount of fermentables ... have you forgotten to add some full boil hops into that recipe? Or are you intentionally only adding hops late ("hop bursting", I believe it's called)? Whichever, I'd suggest you might want to add some more, somewhere into that recipe wink...

Cheers, PhilB

I'd agree with @PhilBrew regarding the bitterness. Although you have a very light and drinkable malt bill (I like that) I think you would benefit from bringing the IBUs up a bit to the 25-35 range.

A good tip is to keep a cheap, smooth bittering hop like Magnum in stock for adding at 60 minutes to adjust bitterness upwards when needed.

Hi Phil, this brew is not for me it's for my daughter who likes really light lager type beers, as you can see from the srm 2.7 she doesn't like really hoppy beers and 21L will prob last her the best part of a year so it will be bottled, she does like the citrus twang in the back ground hence the citra hops late addition, I do have some challenger which are low alpha maybe 10g at 60 mins, also bear in mind I have no temp control

... ahhhh, I see what you're trying to do now ... the recipe (in particular the hop bill) was looking like you were aiming for an American Pale Ale (link), but you're looking to produce something more American Lager (link) ... although I'm still not convinced that you will achieve what you're aiming for taking the approach you've taken formulating that hop bill (in particular I'd be worried about the "she doesn't like really hoppy beers" bit of your aims, Citra isn't a hop that is known for it's "subtlety" wink...)

The "classic" lager hop bill would have around 2/3 of the (total) hops used for full boil and 1/3 late (last 10-5 mins) ... why not have a look at formulating something like that with those Citra, it might mean using what seems like tiny amounts of them (something like 10g for 90-60 mins and 5g for 10-5 mins, or less even), but remember you're not looking for "hoppy", and those Citra will make their presence known :?:

Cheers, PhilB

I agree Phil it's a hard one but I have time on my side l am in Berwick at mo on a 4 day break I will tweak it and post on Friday or Saturday, it's a tricky one

Hi Rod

I think I saw that you'd brewed this over the weekend (I'm "out of town" at the mo, finding it difficult to keep up) ... what did you go with, recipe-wise, in the end? :?:

Cheers, PhilB
