Start a thread saying your the judge. Ask people to pm you so you can give out your address. Just drink the beer and enjoy. Give feedback once you have judged them. Top man

Are there any restrictions on e.g dark beers vs English bitters?

I'm pretty new to brewing but would be nice to get some unbiased feedback and I should have an ESB ready next month - is that a reasonable candidate for the dark beers category?

A while ago someone wrote to me asking if they could use the rules for the homebrew competition for a cider competition, so I thought there was a monthly cider competition running in parallel with the beer one. I guess it never took off, or didn't last. A cider month could be good, there are a few of us who make cider and TC and would be good to get evaluated.

Perhaps kick it off in the cider thread. It can run separate to this comp as we have all our allocated styles and judges for the year

I seem to remember someone trying to get a comp going in the wine and cider forums but it failed, maybe worth another go.
