the normal Goose Island IPA is £4.50 for pack of four 355ml cans in Asda (or £9 for 2 x four cans in Tesco).

I'm not sure that Goose Island is as good as it was when it first appeared on the british market, I noticed that it is now part of Inbev, coincedence?

I can tell you for a fact that it isn't. I was in Chicago about a year before the first sell-out to Anheuser Busch. The IPA was a different beer. As was the Honkers ale. I wouldn't waste my time with the Honkers ale now and rarely buy the IPA. Anheuser Busch/InBev have ruined what was once a great beer. For shame.

I bought a 6 pack of Belgium beers in Lidl today, they had no price on them. Got outside and looked at the receipt and found them were £11.99 which for 6 33cl bottles I thought was dear. However when I got home I looked at the box and 4 are over 10% , one in 9% and one is 7%. These I'll save for Xmas.

Link won't work for me, get to their site then greys over. Also got the mail from MSE but pain to open link.

The link worked for me bright and early this morning although I was up at 4 to go to work.

I quite like the goose island stuff to be fair, it’s commercialised don’t get me wrong and not particularly exciting but tasty enough at £1 a can :beer1:

Can you remember whether they had a lot of boxes in stock? I'm always on the lookout for these boxes, the beers are great - I haven't seen them advertised though...

Yes Draak and yes they did have a lot in stock in Warrington. They also have Leffe blonde at £2.49 for 750ml had to buy one. Aldi are selling William Brothers Brel a Belgium beer which is very good.
